Digital cinema projection technologies company Christie has debuted the Christie CP2220 projector at the ShowEast convention in Florida, USA.
Part of the Christie Solaria™ range, the projector features Texas Instruments' DLP Cinema technology as well as an optional integrated 2K/4K media block.
The technology is designed to work with all external cinema servers, while Christie's 4K digital projectors will have a resolution output of 4096 x 2160 pixels.
In other news, Christie's 2K DLP® digital projectors have been installed at two sites in the Romanian capital, Bucharest.
This includes one at the Baneasa Shopping City, the largest retail mall in Central and southern Europe, where it is used as part of a drive-in cinema.
