The Daffodil Hotel in Grasmere has reopened its award-winning spa following extensive flood damage in December last year.
The hotel, which sits on the shore of Grasmere Lake in the Lake District, reopened its doors in July following a full refurbishment of its reception, function rooms, lobby and spa.
The spa has been fitted with a new 10m (33ft) thermal hydrotherapy pool, as well as a sauna, steamroom and tepidarium. The fully-refurbished spa also now has three treatment rooms, a treatment suite, manicure room, and a Mud Rasul room.
Germaine de Capuccini created a new menu of treatments for the revamped spa, which incorporated five signature Spa Journeys based on the five elements of nature; earth, fire, metal, wood and water. These spa journeys were alongside many of the favourite treatments that had worked so successfully before the floods.
We have so missed the Daffodil, it’s set in the most stunning location and in fact, we took all of our own staff there a couple of years ago for a weekend break so we all know the area really well and were devastated at the amount of damage and the road closures that took place,” said Carole Jones, Germaine de Capuccini managing director. "However, the new spa facilities are stunning and they have a terrific team of therapists who, I am delighted to say love retailing! Treatments and products are flying out”.
