Touchscreen technology from NEC Display Solutions and 3M has been made available to two more products in the NEC range.
While previously only available with Multeos M40, M46 and NEC MultiSync® LCD3215 models, 3M's MicroTouch™ DST (dispersive signal technology) system has now also been rolled out for use on both the NEC MultiSync LCD4020 and 4620.
Based on a glass panel composed of a specially developed enzyme-like material, the screen picks up vibrations from a finger or pen coming into contact with the glass.
An additional drivers update for the dispersive signal technology has also been released.
This allows objects on screen to be manipulated in a range of ways and includes grabbing, expanding, zooming or rotation of the display content.
