The Beach Bubble could be used as outdoor treatment rooms, allowing spa operators to offer guests a one-of-a-kind treatment experience outside
The Small Maldives Island Co has launched the Beach Bubble, a brand new outdoor experience at its Finolhu Resort in the Maldives.
Custom-created by design firm Eye in the Sky, the Beach Bubble is a transparent inflatable tent, that could be used as outdoor treatment rooms, enabling spas to offer guests a one-of-a-kind treatment experience outside.
Designed to offer a 'uniquely immersive nature experience' without compromising on guests' comfort, the bubble is a UV-protected, fully waterproof, climate-controlled cocoon, constructed from a strong, high-tech polyester fabric. It is outfitted with custom-fitted wooden floors, bespoke furnishings, and an adjoining 'bubble bathroom' equipped with a WC and shower.
In addition the bubble features patented 'Precontraint Serge Ferrari' technology that makes it both lightweight and structurally stable, whilst preventing load-bearing deformation and ensuring a longer life span.
Mark Hehir, CEO and curator of The Small Maldives Island Co, says: "The Beach Bubble tent was inspired by passion. I have always loved the idea of sleeping under the stars in the Maldives, this inspiration led me to search for a tent like bubble that could give such a pure yet less serious once-in-a-lifetime experience that is so private and magical."
